Holidays at Chabad

Purim, together.

Costumes, feasting, the megillah, gifts flying across town — one day a year the whole community celebrates like royalty, and everyone's invited.

Purim · March 23, 2027

The festival of Purim.

Purim commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia from Haman's plot "to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews, young and old, infants and women, in a single day." It is celebrated with megillah readings, gifts of food, charity, feasting, and merriment.

Feasting & joy

The Themed Community Purim Party

Every year a different world — a grand themed feast (Purim in Persia, anyone?) with dinner, live entertainment, megillah reading, l'chaims, and costumes encouraged. Fun for all ages; Hebrew School kids attend free.

Megillah Readings

The Scroll of Esther read in the original Hebrew from parchment — on Purim eve with l'chaims and music, again in the morning, and once more before the party so nobody misses it.
